An average of 53.21% polling was recorded by 3 pm today for the 11 Lok Sabha and 77 Assembly seats where voting is taking place today in the second phase of elections in Odisha.
Nayagarh district recorded the highest of 61% while Khurda recorded the lowest of 35%, sources in the Chief Electoral Office (CEO) said.
The voting percentages in other districts by 3 pm were as follows:
Keonjhar 59%, Mayurbhanj 54%, Balasore 48%, Bhadrak 52%, Jajpur 59%, Dhenkanal 59%, Angul 58.20%, Cuttack 42%, Kendrapara 57% and Jagatsinghour and Puri 54%.
Slow to start with, voting is picking up as the day wears on and is likely to cross 70% by the time polling ends at 6 pm.
