After the happy ending to the love stories of two Bangalore girls in Odisha, it is now the turn of a Kerala girl to head for the state in pursuit of her husband.

Bystanders looked on curiously as the girl, allegedly dumped and left behind by her Odia husband, was out on the streets of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar with a photograph of her elusive husband and asking all and sundry if they had seen him. But not many understood what she wanted to say since couldn’t speak any language other than Malayalam.

The relationship between the couple that blossomed at their workplace back in Kerala soon culminated in marriage, the girl says.

However, the boy identified as Jayadev Sahu alias Sania from Odgaon area of Nayagarh district, developed cold feet after a couple of years of the marriage and returned to Odisha leaving her behind in Kerala.

Not one to give up so easily, the girl, who married Sania against the will of her family, reached Odisha and started searching for him in and around Bhubaneswar for two days and then reached Cuttack to complain the DGP.

Her trouble multiplied as she couldn’t speak Odia, Hindi or English the languages usually spoken by local people.

To her good luck, members of Nari Sachetan Mancha, a women’s organistaion, reached out to her while she was staying in a lodge near Mangalabag and took her to Mangalabag Police Station and then to the women’s police station.

A member of the forum named Usha Nayar, also a Karalite, helped her lodge the complaint.

As per the description and evidence provided by the 28-year-old girl, the cops scanned the banking details of Sania and found his native place to be Odgaon.

Cops from Cuttack Women’s police station and members of the forum took her to the native village of Sania last night where the girl managed to identify his house, as she had already been there before.

It remains to be seen if this love story will also have a happy ending like the previous two.
