Phulbani, Sep 29:
Two girl students were killed and four others were critically injured when a wall of an Ashram school collapsed on them at Chakapad.
A wall of the Bastingia Ashram School in Chakapad under Tikabali block collapsed on students around noon today killing one Rasmita Kuanr, a class 7 student on the spot while critically injuring five others, sources said.
The injured have been admitted to the Phulbani district head quarters hospital.
The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical and doctors are planning to shift them to MKCG Medical College and Hospital at Brahmapur.
The mishap occurred while the students were playing on the school’s verandah, today being a holiday. (SPM)
