Refresher Course for docs concludes at KIMS in Odisha

A Professional Development Course (PDC) in Management, Public Health and Health Sector Reforms for senior-level District Medical Officers (DMOs) from Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands was concluded at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in the Odisha capital today.

Funded by Training Division, ministry of Health Family Welfare and supervised by NIHFW, New Delhi, the course was awarded to KIMS since 2013-14. A total of 15 senior health professionals from the three states attended the course.

Addressing the concluding session, vice chancellor of KIIT University Prof PP Mathur said KIIT will extend all possible help to make this important programme a big success. The Director, NIHFW, New Delhi and Office of the Delegation of European Countries in India sent their best wishes for the course, he added.

Among other, Prof BC Das, director, KIMS, P Parida, Management Representative, Dr Sonali Kar, Associate Professor, Community Medicine and Prof Pramod Samantray, Sr. Consultant,  Professional  Development Course were present.
