Jeypore, Jan 26:

Acting on the allegations on forcible acquisition of land belonging to dalits in Patrapur village by the School and Mass Education minister Rabi Narayan Nanda, the Koraput district administration has ordered an administrative probe into the matter.

According to official sources, the administration has appointed KBK deputy administrator Raghumani Gamang as the investigating officer.

Gamang on Saturday had gone to Patrapur village with a team of Revenue officials and recorded the statement of the villagers.

He also verified the documents relating to the ownership of the land and date of sale.

However, Gamang refused to provide details to the media stating that the investigation is in its preliminary stage.
