Prime accused in Bomikhal firing surrenders in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: The prime accused in Bomikhal firing case surrendered before Special Squad in Odisha capital on Thursday night.

The main accused Bunty Jena alias Phula of Bomikhal surrendered before the cops.

Earlier, Prashant Samantaray alias Bacchu and Bismaya Maharana alias Dipu were arrested by Laxmisagar police from Sahid Nagar area on August 27.

It may be recalled here that on July 20 three motorcycle-borne miscreants had opened fire at Manoranjan Behera, manager of Jana Seva Kendra adjacent to Bomikhal Durga Mandap.

The assailants fired two rounds of bullets at Behera following which he was rushed to a private hospital here.

As per sources, there are several criminal cases pending against Bunty and had some past enmity with Behera.
