President Pranab Mukherjee will address the convocation of PGDM students of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bhubaneswar to be held on September 7 as the chief guest while Governor Dr SC Jamir will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
The convocation ceremony will be held at the auditorium of the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), Bhubaneswar.
Eminent personalities who have contributed to the fields of art, culture and social service in Odisha will be conferred with the Bhavan’s Award on the occasion.
This year, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of its founder Dr KM Munshi and its 75th foundation day. The celebrations have begun from December 2012 and will continue up to November 2013. The Bhubaneswar centre of the Bhavan was established in 1974 and its building was inaugurated by the then President Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy.
The Bhavan’s Centre for Communication and Management was inaugurated by former President R Venkataraman in January 2003. On January 15, 2011 former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam visited the campus and addressed students, besides inaugurating a fully-furnished auditorium dedicated in memory of late Dr KM Munshi.
