President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate the three-day long ‘Prabasi Odia Sammilani-2017’ being organized by ‘Odisha Forum’ in the national capital from January 6.
The event will be attended by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and several eminent persons, informed Forum’s president Gokul Patnaik.
While the organizers have planned various programmes during the three-day long event, Patnaik said several Non-Resident Odias (NROs) will be felicitated by President Mukherjee at the event.
The Forum has planned to hold a photo exhibition titled ‘Resurgent Odisha’, he added.
More than 30 stalls will showcase Odisha’s achievements in the fields of art, culture, painting, handicrafts and books published in Odia, stated Patnaik.
A seminar titled ‘Udayagami Odisha’ meaning emerging Odisha will be held in which leaders of five political parties from Odisha will spell out on their party’s current and future agenda for the state, Patnaik said.
Another seminar titled ‘Odisha the Soft Power’ on art, culture, education and sports will be held, he added.
