    Bhubaneswar, Sep 16:
Paradip Port Trust (PPT) is likely to sign a MoU with the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) for setting up of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal at Paradip.

Presiding over the PPT Board meeting here on Saturday, PPT chairman Sudhansu Sekhara Mishra spoke about the progress of the LNG terminal and other development projects being undertaken for the port.

A team from GAIL, during its recent visit to Paradip, had an interaction with the port officials while conducting a feasibility study on the project.

The company is already working on the Surat-Paradip pipeline project.
The cost of the 1,550-km long pipeline network with a capacity of 60 million standard cubic meters per day is estimated at Rs 9,000 crore.

It will link Mora (Gujarat) on the west with Paradip on the east via Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
