PECUC to organize ‘Violence against Women’ workshop in Odisha capital

People’s Cultural Centre (PECUC), a leading Odisha based organisation working to ensure the rights of the children, will organize a 16-day activism workshop on violence against women in Bhubaneswar on December 8.

The event will be held at 11 AM at Red Cross Bhawan, Bhubaneswar with participation of women PRIs and women self help group (SHG) leaders.

Pecuc is also organizing 16 days’ activism: ‘Violence against Women’ campaign in Balianta and Bhubaneswar Block in collaboration with “The Hunger Project” (THP) from 30th November to 8th December 2014 to mark 25 years of the convention on the rights of the child, executive director of the organisation Anuradha Mohany said.

It may be noted that, PECUC is a non-government, not for profit voluntary organization in Odisha, working for the  promotion and protection of rights of the children, women, aged, indigenous community, rural and urban poor and other marginalized sections since 1990.
