Patient injured by disloged plaster piece from hospital gate in Odisha

Balipatna, Mar 19:  

A patient was seriously injured by a piece of plaster dislodged from the gate of Rajas hospital in Balipatna block, Khurda district of Odisha.

The incident which happened on Thursday when Bridavan Pal (62)  was walking near the hospital gate.

Pal was hit on the head with a piece of tile dislodged from the hospital main gate. After the tile hit him from above 20 feet Pal lost his consciousness. He sustained injury on his head and was bleeding heavily. He was admitted to the hospital by the passersby.

The hospital gate has been lying half constructed for years, locals have alleged.

NHRM executive engineer Manas Mohapatra, has agreed that they have received such a complaint. He has said that the gate will be repaired as soon as possible.
