Cuttack, May 1:
Expressing deep resentment over the faulty valuation of answer sheets, the Odisha Secondary School Teachers’ Association (OSSTA) today demanded the resignation of the president of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Dakshya Prasad Nanda.
In a release, the Association said the wrong valuation of the answer sheets was due to the fact that the Board authorities were in an undue hurry to announce the results.
The Association warned that it would gherao the BSE office if the Board authorities fail to come up with an error-free valuation of answer sheets within a week.
Referring to the suicide of a girl student Sasmita Sahu a native of Khordha who ended her life today after she failed to clear the annual HSC examinations, the Association demanded a compensation of Rs 20 lakh to the family members of the deceased.
