The State Vigilance today registered cases against three employees of Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OPHWC) on the charge of financial irregularities to the tune of Rs 10.27 crore.
Briefing newsmen here, Vigilance Director KB Singh said seven cases have been registered against joint manager Achyutananda Routray, junior assistant Bishnu Charan Behera and clerk Mahavir Das of the Corporation’s Bhawanipatna division.
He said the involvement of these three staff came to the notice by the CMD of the corporation during the audit.
It was revealed that the joint manager, in connivance with the other two staff, had issued a cheque signed by him instead of a joint signature.
The financial irregularities committed by them was of Rs 10, 27,13,666, Singh added.
