Students in the Odisha’s capital city celebrated their overwhelming success in the Class XII examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) the results of which were announced on Wednesday.
The KiiT International School (KiiT-IS), a constituent of KIIT Group of Institutions, posted 100 percent pass results with students of all three streams – Science, Commerce and Arts – securing first class in the examinations.
The students excelled in all three streams with the toppers securing 96%, 98% and 96% in science, arts and commerce respectively. KiiT-IS student Kamyaa Mishra topped Bhubaneswar Region in Humanities stream securing 98 per cent marks.
DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur posted the highest school average in aggregate in the zone with the maximum number of students securing 90% and above.
Of the 259 students who appeared in science stream, 161 (about 62.16 per cent) secured more than 90 per cent marks, while all of them were placed in the first division.
In Commerce stream, 34 out of 35 students secured more than 60 per cent marks with seven of them securing more than 90 per cent.
In DAV Public School, Pokhariput, 65 per cent students secured more than 90 per cent in the Science stream. The school average in Science stands ay a record breaking 86.18 per cent while it is 81.25 per cent in Commerce.
The BJB English Medium School also posted overwhelming success in Science and Commerce streams. Out of a total of 202 students who appeared in the science stream, 18 secured above 90 per cent while 75.2 per cent were placed in first division. The overall pass percentage was 94.55 per cent, a release issued by the school said.
The ODM Public School also registered thumping success. Out of a total of 229 students who appeared in the science stream, 205 secured first division. Of them, 30 secured over 90 percent marks while 132 secured above 75 per cent of marks.
In the Commerce stream, out of total of 24 students, 13 secured over 60 per cent marks while Debashri Nahak secured the highest of 92.2 per cent.
