Ankur Majumdar, a class ten student of government high school in Bangiya village, Umerkote in Nabarangpur district, Odisha has been selected to participate in International Science Conference in Japan from April 7 to April 23.
Notably, Ankur’s science project based on India Railways, hygiene and environment protection, won the first prize in the state level and second prize in the national level exhibition and project competition. The project has been selected by the Union Science and Technology Department for International Science Conference in Japan.
Ironically, Ankur belongs to a very poor family of Bangladeshi refugees, therefore, he is having difficulty in getting a passport. His family also cannot afford the travel expenses from Umerkote to Delhi.
