Odisha Polls: Voting delayed in many places as EVMs go out of order

The first phase polling in Odisha was delayed by an hour in some places this morning as the electronic voting machines(EVMs) in some booths went out of order.

Sources in the chief electoral office (CEO) said the EVMs went out of order in Sanakhemundi booth and Sorada in Ganjam, two booths in Gajapati, one at Baliguda (booth no-41),  Dahana (booth no- 97 and 186) and Umerkote (booth no 195) in Nabarangpur, Kushanpali in Birmaharajpur, Kunchinda (booth no 61, 69 and 132), Loisingha and Patnagarh (booth no-170) in Balangir,, and Charbati, Binakhari and Bhitara booths in Sambalpur district.
