Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, will conduct Plus Two examinations 2018 in all the streams as per new syllabus making no change in question format.

For the first time, the students will appear the examinations as per the syllabus prepared in pattern of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The new syllabus was introduced in 2016-17 academic session for better performance of Odisha students in all-India basis examinations. For students’ preparation, we had focused more on the objective type questions. As the students are being taught as per the new CBSE-style syllabus in the past two years, the questions will come accordingly in the examinations scheduled in 2018, said Deputy Examination Controller Prabodh Kumar Panda.

However, there will be no change in the question format in the examinations, he said.

Like previous year, the question papers will carry 70 marks objective type (1, 2 and 3 marks) and 30 marks comprehensive questions (each 5 marks) in the examinations 2018. However, the ex-regular students will appear the examinations as per old syllabus, he added.

Since the practical examinations will commence on January 19, the form fill up process will start from November 20. For ex-regular students, the form fill up began from Oct 16 and concluded on Saturday.
