In the run up to Odisha panchayat polls, Biju Janata Dal President and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today asked his party workers to take up the alleged negligence of Central Government towards the state with renewed vigour.
Addressing the district and block level poll-observers’ meet today, Patnaik accused the Center of negligence and told his party workers, “You need to take issues such as Mahanadi river, Polavaram dam, stoppage of funds for different welfare schemes and negligence towards backward and tribal dominated areas in the state to the people”.
Besides, he asked them to take the good works done by the State Government to the people to ensure victory of his party in the upcoming local polls.
According to the party, as many as 126 poll observers along with several top guns of BJD attended the meeting today.
