The last review meeting for the ensuing Nabakalebara Rath Yatra, presided over by Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik, began at the Gopabandhu Ayurvedic College here this morning.
The meeting will discuss the rituals, construction of chariots and the status of the ongoing infrastructure works.
Besides, the meeting will also discuss the health services, sanitation and drinking water supply during the festival.
The main focus of today’s meeting is traffic management and security.
The meeting is being attended by chief secretary GC Pati, local MLA and head of the Nabakalebara infrastructure committee Maheswar Mohanty, Law minister Arun Sahu, ministers and secretaries of the concerned departments, development commissioner UN Behera, chief administrator of Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Suresh Mohapatra, Nabakalebara OSD Soumendra Priyadarshi, DGP Sanjeev Marik, sevayats of several Nijogs and senior citizens.
