The people’s representative from Laxmipur constituency in Odisha’s Koraput district has been burning midnight oil to appear for the ongoing High School Certificate (HSC) examination.
Kailash Chandra Kulesika has been appearing for matriculation exam under correspondence course, as an ordinary student at Rayagarh Girls High School. Yesterday, he sat for the mathematics paper along with other students.
Interestingly, during filing of the nomination papers the BJD legislator has mentioned his educational qualification as a graduate. His sitting for the current matriculation exams has given rise to many questions.
When questioned, Kulesika has said that he is a graduate from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and even a class seven pass out can become a graduate under the distance learning national university.
In 2012-2013 when he was a student of Dushmantapur High School, his father died and he had to discontinue his studies. After entering politics, he was unable to get time to study. Therefore, he was appearing the annual exams under State Mass Education department, he said. He added that he wanted to pursue further studies in Journalism and Mass Communication.
