Puri/Dhenkanal: Unidentified miscreants have looted two separate temples in Odisha’s Puri and Dhenkanal districts.
According to reports, robbers broke the donation box of Siruli Mahavir temple at Chandanpur in Puri late last night. They decamped with more than Rs 50,000 present inside the box.
The broken donation box was found near the temple this morning. Police have started investigation into the incident.
In a similar incident, money from donation box and several valuables were looted by miscreants from Ram Mandir at Malapur in Kamakhyanagar area of Dhenkanal district. The burglars also took away the CCTV camera hard disk with them. Investigation into the incident is underway.
