Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel will join the Supreme Court as a judge.
If the present government takes a decision on this before the formation of the next government, joining of Justice Goel in the apex court would happen soon , the sources added.
Justice Goel had taken charge as the Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court on October 12 last year.
Born on July 7 in 1953 at Hisar in Haryana, Justice Goel completed his degree in Law from Punjab University and later began his profession as a lawyer in 1974.
He was appointed as Justice of Haryana and Punjab High Court on July 2, 2001 where he became the acting Chief Justice in 2011.
On September 12 in the same year, he joined as the senior Judge in the Guwahati High Court where he was appointed as the Chief Justice on December 20, 2011.
