Odisha govt to fill up 92 SI posts in Police dept

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today decided to fill up 92 posts of Sub Inspectors (SIs) lying vacant in the State’s Police department.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today ordered to immediately initiate process through the Staff Selection Commission to fill up these vacancies, said an official release.

Notably, out of the 184 vacancies in the Police department, 92 posts will be filled up through departmental promotion while the remaining 92 posts will be filled up through direct recruitment.

Similarly, it was also decided to fill up 231 posts of drivers lying vacant in the Police Motor Transport department.
