Bhubaneswar, Feb 18:
The Odisha government has framed rules for the smooth conduct of the annual Plus Two examinations scheduled to begin in the state from March 2.
In a letter to the district administrations and the police, the Higher Education department and the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Tuesday, chief secretary GC Pati has asked them to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations and safety of question papers as per the rules framed by the government.
The rules, framed by the government, relate to the despatch of question papers from the CHSE headquarters in Bhubaneswar to the examination hubs in the districts, measures to be taken for the safety of the question papers, return of answer papers from the examination centres to the examination hubs and despatch of answer papers to the evaluation centres.
The CHSE has set up 203 examination hubs and 1092 examination centres.
CHSE has decide to despatch question papers to the hubs in two phases. While the first phase question papers would be despatched to the hubs before the commencement of the examinations, the second phase question papers would be despatched during the examinations.
The question papers would be kept at the hubs with 24-hour security for which the concerned district superintendent of police would provide adequate policemen.
The supervisor in charge of the hub would report to the SP about the functioning of the CCTV cameras installed at the hub at regular intervals.
There would be five examination centres under one hub from where the question papers would be despatched to these centres two hours before the commencement of the examinations.
After the examinations are over, the answer sheets would be despatched to the hubs from where they would be sent to the evaluation centres.
