Odisha govt carries out major reshuffle at lower, middle IAS level

The Odisha government has effected a major reshuffle of lower and middle level IAS officers in the state.

While 2010 batch IAS Sudhanshu Mohan Samal has been posted as collector of Boudh. Samal would replace  Mahendra Kumar Mallick, an IAS officer of 2002 batch, who has  been posted as the State Project Director of Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA).

govt-of-odisha-logo2010 batch IAS D Brundha, deputy secretary in Panchayati Raj department, has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC). The incumbent  Additional Commissioner Bishnu Prasad Mishra has been transferred and posted as joint secretary, Culture.

2011 batch IAS officer Arindam Dakua, who was sub collector Champua in Keonjhar, has been posted as project director, DRDA Mayurbhanj. He would replace Manasi Nimbahl, who has been posted as the new collector of Gajapati in place of Basudev Bahinipati. Bahinipati was shunted out in the wake of the suicide by tribal nursing student Sunita Raita.

2011 batch IAS officer Samath Verma, who was sub collector Koraput has been posted as project director, DRDA, Koraput.  2011 batch IAS G Reghu, who was sub collector Baliguda, has now been posted as project director DRDA, Malkangiri.

Ashish Thakre, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch who was sub collector Chhatrapur has been posted as project director DRDA Ganjam.  K Sudarshan Chakravarthy of the same batch, who was sub collector Patnagarh, has been posted as ADM Rourkela.

OAS Officer Bisikeshana Dehuri, who was sub collector Titilagarh, has been shifted to Athamalik as sub collector.

The state government too has cleared the cases of eight OAS officers for being promoted to the IAS cadre.  They are Niranjan Sahu, Prasant Senapati, Bishnu Chandra Prusty , Pravat  Kumar  Lenka, Surendralal Seal, Hari Ballabh Mishra,  Debendra Mohapatra and Ratnakar Rout.

These officers will very soon join IAS cadre, official sources said.

All eyes  are now on the reshuffle at the top level of the IAS hierarchy that has been on the cards since GB Pati took over as the new chief secretary.
