Bhubaneswar: With an aim to give a boost to healthcare service delivery in western Odisha’s premier healthcare institution-Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), the Odisha government today announced incentives for Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors working in the Speciality and Super Speciality departments of the institution.
The incentives announced by the government will range from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh per month. The announcement was made following its approval by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
While a Professor in a Super Speciality department will get an incentive of Rs 2 lakh per month, an Associate Professor will get Rs 1.5 lakh and an Assistant Professor will get Rs 1 lakh.
Similarly, while a Professor in a Speciality department will get an incentive of Rs 1.5 lakh per month, an Associate Professor will get Rs 1 lakh and an Assistant Professor will get Rs 50,000.
Notably, more often VIMSAR has been in news for the wrong reasons-lack of infrastructure and vacancies in various departments.
