The twin city Commissionerate Police is planning to move court to take the three accused arrested in the sensational murder of a doctor couple in Sailashree Vihar area of the Odisha capital on a three day remand for further questioning.
“We are trying to get them on at least three days remand since two more accused persons are yet to be arrested. We suspect the other two accused persons have fled Odisha and are in hiding in some other state. Our efforts are on to locate them. We need to take the three arrested accused on at least three days remand to elicit from them details of their planning before the crime and on their stay in hiding at various locations,” informed Dr R P Sharma, twin city Police Commissioner here today.
Commissionerate Police had arrested Kishore Behera alias Timpa, Mohammad Kamal Khan alias Munna and Munna’s wife Nini on Saturday. The other two accused in the crime Tikina and her husband Jawan are absconding.
While police had arrested Timpa from a dhaba (roadside eatery) at Gopalpur on Friday, Munna and Nini were arrested from Tangi-Choudwar area.
The doctor couple was murdered by the accused persons on November 15. Retired medical practitioners Dr Prafula Mishra and his wife Dr Sushma Mishra were murdered at their Sailashree Vihar residence.
