Bhubaneswar, May 28:
For the third time in the last one and a half months, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is going on a week-long visit to New Delhi from May 29 to June 5.
Unlike the other two trips before election results were declared, however, Patnaik’s visit to the national capital is ‘official’ this time.
The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) confirmed that the trip of the Chief Minister is official. He is likely to meet some Ministers during the visit, sources in the CMO said though they declined to reveal the details of his ‘official’ meeting. The details would be known later tonight, they said..
Unofficial sources, however, said that Patnaik will hold parleys with his contacts in the BJP to finalise the contours of his support to the Narendra Mdi led government at the Centre. He is also likely to undergo a medical check up during his ‘official’ visit, they said..
Patnaik, it may be noted, had left for New Delhi on an unofficial trip immediately after the elections in the state on a eight-day ‘unofficial’ trip, which later got extended by another four days.
Barely a week after his return, he again left for the national capital and spent a nearly a week there.
