Bhubaneswar, Apr 29:

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced Rs 15 crore for making Central Instrumentation Centre fully functional at Utkal University in Bhubaneswar.

The announcement came during annual function of students’ union at the varsity yesterday.

The fund will be helpful for purchasing of instruments at Utkal University.

Gracing the occasion, Patnaik said, “This will be immense help to the students”.

He assured the students to take necessary steps with regard to their requirements proposed to the government.

“I will personally follow it up to take the initiatives forward”, he said.

As the use of computers and mobile phones has been essential for young generations, Patnaik advised the students to focus on using internet for creative pursuits and float their own ideas by opening start-up companies.

“There are examples of successful start-up companies by youngsters using internet for a variety of usages. You might have heard the Uber model of agricultural machinery that has enabled farmers to rent tractors. Our youngsters need to go all the way to use their creativity and youthful energy to break new grounds and lift people along with them”, he said.
