Jharsuguda: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dedicated to the people of the state Rourkela-Jharsuguda-Sambalpur stretch of the Biju Expressway at a function held at Panchapada High School ground here.
According to official sources, the 163-km long road has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1200 crores.
The Biju Expressway project aims at connecting western and southern Odisha. Four-lane roads having a total length of 650-km will connect Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and Koraput.
The state government has allocated Rs 3000 crores for the purpose.
