The deadlock in the ongoing winter session of the Odisha Assembly continued for the 13th day today forcing the Speaker to adjourn the House till 11.30 AM following uproar by the Opposition members during Question Hour.
As soon as the House assembled in the first session, Congress members rushed to the well of the House urging the Speaker Niranjan Pujari to reconsider his decision declining permission for a discussion on chit fund issue.
Besides, they also demanded presentation of bills in Odia language.
Amid the din, the Speaker directed resumption of the Question Hour. However, the session could run for only five minutes as the Opposition members stuck to their demands.
Unable to conduct the House business, the Speaker later adjourned the House till 11.30 AM.
