Bhubaneswar: Despite issuance of advisory by Odisha police to curb circulation of obscene/sex videos, there is no stopping to such clips getting viral on social media in the state.
An obscene video of 2.28 minutes featuring a woman Ollywood singer is reportedly doing the rounds on WhatsApp.
It is being said that the artist had shot the video herself four years ago after being told to do so by a music director. Rumour has it that the singer ended her relationship with the music director after becoming successful in the industry, following which the clip was made viral.
So far, no complaint has been registered with police in this regard.
Worth mentioning, a sex video featuring a female dancer of the state and a youth had recently gone viral.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had on April 16 told the State Assembly that at least 31 “objectionable videos” were made viral on various social media platforms in Odisha in the past three months.
Concerned over the disturbing trend, Odisha police had earlier issued advisory to all the district SPs and public to check circulation of such videos on the internet.
