In response to the appeal of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the Odisha Administrative Services (OAS) Association on Friday appealed to all its members to contribute one day’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for relief, restoration and reconstruction work areas devastated by cyclone Phailin and the subsequent flash floods.
“Severe cyclone Phailin, followed by unprecedented floods, have caused havoc in several districts causing severe damage to private and public properties. The relief, restoration and reconstruction work is now a stupendous task involving large amount of resources. We urged all our members to contribute one day’s salary for restoration work,” said association president Nirmal Chandra Mishra.
The association appreciated the untiring efforts of OAS officers in carrying out evacuation, relief and restoration work.
