There would be less rainfall in Odisha in the next six days till July 16, the local Met office said in a release this evening.
“The depression lying over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining southeast Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, has moved northwest and lay centered over West Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Haryana and Delhi about 75 km east of Delhi 8.30 AM today. The system would move northwest and gradually weaken into a well-marked low pressure area during next 12 hours. Under its influence, there would be sporadic rain or thundershower at some places over Odisha”, the release said.
It, however, said the rainfall in the state is most likely to increase after July 17.
Meanwhile, rainfall recorded in last 24 hours, was highest in Malkangiri with 33 mm followed by Baleswar (31.2), Puri (29.2) and Talcher (21) while there was meagre rainfall in the remaining parts of the state.
