Nine poachers arrested from Similipal National Park

A team of Odisha forest officials arrested nine poachers from Similipal National Park on Monday night.

Acting on a tip-off about the presence of a group of poachers from Khunta area of Mayurbhanj district inside the core area of the Park out to hunt wild animals, a team of forest officials raided the forest and arrested nine poachers and seized nine bows, 30 arrows, sharp weapons, rice salt and spices from their possession.

However, some of the poachers of the group managed to escape.
