The Coordination and Preparatory Committee for National Convention of People’s Struggles will organise a two-day national convention at Dhinkia village near the proposed Posco steel plant area in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district beginning from November 29.
The convention would be organized by more than 150 people’s movements and struggle groups from all over the country, who are fighting against the loot of natural resources by corporate houses, exposing ‘communal conspiracy by the fundamentalist forces and ruling elites’ as well as defending values of democracy and secularism.
Around 500 delegates will share their views regarding the present challenges before them and will chalk out the future course of action.
The delegates will head for Dhinika from Bhuabneswar by Puri- Paradeep Intercity train on November 29.
The organizers have requested the delegates coming from North and East and supposed to reach by the morning of November 29, to wait at Cuttack Railway Station by 8 AM while the delegates from South have been requested to reach Bhubaneswar by 7 AM on October 29.
