Bhubaneswar: Over 60 students in a college bus escaped unhurt when a side portion of a road caved in near Power House Square here this afternoon.
The incident triggered panic among the students in the bus.
According to reports, the bus carrying the students of Neelachal Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), a city base private medical science college, suddenly could not move after the road caved in.
The panicked students shouted for the help after they realised a tyre of the bus was going down.
The locals rushed the site after hearing the students’ cry to rescue them. The students came out of the bus and found a 10-ft-deep hole on the road.
The incident occurred at Power House Square, in heart of Bhubaneswar Smart City, around 200 metre away from State Assembly and Secretariat.
