Most parts of Odisha will receive more rainfall in the next 24 hours, said the local Met office here today.
Talking to the media, Dr Sarat Chandra Sahu, director, Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar said a trough line has formed today over Gujarat and stretched up to East Central Bay of Bengal through Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha through Phulbani and Paradip. Besides, a cyclonic circulation has also formed over north Odisha and its adjoining areas.
“Under its influence, there is possibility of widespread rainfall in most parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours with heavy rainfall at some places in interior districts. While there has been less rainfall in coastal districts in the last 24 hours, rainfall is likely in the interior and north Odisha districts tonight,” Sahu said.
