Month-long summer camp for Lotus Kids from May 1

To make children’s pre-school and day care smarter and better, the Lotus Kids Playschool in the city today announced a month-long integrated summer camp both for children of different age groups and their mothers from May 1 at its premises.

To inspire the kids and mothers to participate in the summer camp, the first three days will be free of cost for every participant.

The activities that will be offered at the camp include dance, art and craft, painting, spoken English, storytelling and English theatre, choir singing and recitation of hymns.

The first in any summer camp, the mothers will be provided training in tailoring.

The unique workshops, the first of its kind in the city, will also be held for children with special needs and their parents in the areas of Down syndrome, autism and speech therapy.

Children with special needs will be provided inclusive education and individual specific training by qualified and renowned trainers.

Lotus Kids will provide all the materials in the workshop for free as well.

Distinguished faculties who have excelled in different sectors will be involved in the workshops.Lotus Kids

Spoken English and English Theatre workshops by Natya Chetna and Sindhu Brown, choir singing workshop by Wendel of Trinity School of Music, London, special needs workshop by Barnali Sutar and Barsa Barnali Mohanty, mantra (hymns) recitation workshop by the instructor from Bihar School of Yoga, dance workshop by Suresh of SK School of Activities, painting workshop by Prem Chand Rout of Greyscale Institute, art and craft workshop by Nila and Sree Behera and tailoring workshop by Shoma Chakravarty.

The registration for the summer workshop will be closed on April 28.

Among others, Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, chairman, Seema Mohanty, vice-chairman and Pamila Ganju, managing trustee of Lotus Educational and Charitable Trust, Sindhu Brown, principal, Lotus Kids and Namita Mishra, consultant, Lotus Kids addressed the gathering.
