Mass resignation by 108-Ambulance staff in Odisha’s Deogarh

Deogarh: All staff of 108-Ambulance service in Odisha’s Deogarh today tendered mass resignation bringing the essential service in the district to a grinding halt.

In a resignation letter to the district Collector, the employees have stated that they took the step protesting the arrest of 108-Ambulance Employees’ Association secretary Manoj Sahu over a false allegation.

The staff also said they earlier drew attention of the Central and State governments over issues related to their salary. Sahu was arrested as he was leading them in pressing their demands, they said in the letter.

Similar situation was witnessed in Cuttack district as 183 staff of the 108-Ambulance service submitted mass resignation letter to the collector.
