Panic gripped Odisha’s Sambalpur district after a group of armed Maoists wreaked havoc in a remote village late on Saturday night.
According to reports, more than 30 armed Maoists barged into Dakara village under Dhama police station limits late on Saturday night and asked the villagers to serve them food.
After finishing their dinner, the Red Rebels beat up the villagers and looted their valuables and fled the area.
Following information, a team of Dhama police rushed to the village this morning.
Police have started combing operation in the area to nab the Maoists.
