Nayagarh, Apr 10:
With the people’s support for the Ama Odisha Party (AOP) in Khandapada Assembly constituency growing with each passing day ahead of the ensuing polls scheduled on April 17 in Odisha, the Khandapada Kandha Samaj on Wednesday extended its unequivocal support to the party led by its president and former MP Soumya Ranjan Patnaik.
Participating in an election meeting of the party at Sadhuapalli of Gadiasahi panchayat on Wednesday afternoon, over 300 members of the Kandha Samaj decided to extend their support to Patnaik for his victory in the election.
Several BJD workers of Saradhapur led by Chitta Ranjan Hota joined the Ama Odisha Party on the occasion.
Addressing the meeting, the AOP president said though Khandapada constituency is not far away from the state capital, the constituency has remained one of the most neglected places in Odisha.
“The aim of my party is to involve the people of Khandapada in the mainstream of development with an assurance to lead their life fearlessly sans bribery and corruption. Ama Odisha Party is committed to the welfare of the tribals and dalits”, Patnaik added.
