Cuttack: Justice Kalpesh Satyendra Jhaveri was sworn in as the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court here today.
Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal administered oath to Justice Jhaveri during a programme at Conference Hall of the High Court in Cuttack.
Before assuming the charge of office as the CJ, Justice Jhaveri had visited Sri Mandir in Puri seeking darshan of Lord Jagannath yesterday.
Prior to his appointment as the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court, he was serving as the Judge of the Rajasthan High Court.
Earlier, Justice Jhaveri was confirmed as a permanent judge in June 2005 after he was elevated as the Judge of the Gujarat High Court in March 2004. Later, he was appointed as the Judge of the Rajasthan High Court in August 2016.
