Jharsuguda, Nov 17:
Two persons were arrested from Rourkela last night for their alleged involvement in the loot from Bank of India’s Beheramal branch in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district in May this year.
One revolver was seized from their possession, sources said.
Notably, 10-12 armed robbers had looted over Rs 86 lakh from the bank on May 5 this year.
The men who had masks on their faces and were armed with pistols and knives first overpowered the officer who was officiating as the branch manager and later at gunpoint huddled all bank employees and customers into one room.
They first took away whatever cash was lying at the cash counter and later took away whatever was there in the strong room.
