The 15th All India Conference of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) today started in Odisha’s Puri.
Hundreds of CITU workers took part in a rally that began from the Srigundicha temple and culminated at Saradhabali to mark the occasion.
As many as 2000 members from 40 trade unions of the country are participating in the meet.
Several key issues pertaining to the present day politics of the country including the economic and labour policies of the Union Government are being discussed in the conference, according to the organisers.
Besides, the conference will deliberate on the issues affecting the socially downtrodden, dalits, farmers and labourers.
The conference will continue until November 30.
