In Video: 50,000 students sing ‘Bande Utkala Janani’ in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: The atmosphere at Baramunda ground in Odisha capital today buzzed with patriotic Odia song ‘Bande Utkala Janani’ as more than 50,000 school students sang it amid music.

The occasion was Shishu Mahotsav organised by Bhartiya Shiksha Vikas Sansthan, Odisha unit. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the event in the presence of School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Minister Surjya Narayan Patro and Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Kumar Patasani.

Students from various schools across the state along with their teachers chorused the song with the music being conducted by renowned music director Laxmikant Palit.

“The event will infuse the children with a sense of admiration and commitment for the motherland,” the CM said.
