Sambalpur, Jan 30:
Hundreds thronged to the ‘Gandhi Temple’ at Bhatra in Sambalpur district to offer their tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his death anniversary today.
Many genuflected before the bronze statue of the Father of the Nation offering flowers and singing hymns today at the 40-year-old temple at Bhatra built by a Gandhian, former MLA Abhimanyu Kumar in 1974.
Kalia Bag, the priest of the temple, said that a large number of locals gather at the temple to offer their prayers to Gandhiji in the morning everyday.
“I worship Gandhiji every day here reciting the Bhagavad Gita”, he added.
