Most parts of Odisha would experience heavy rainfall in the next 48 hours, the local Met office said here today.
“The cyclonic circulation, formed over Gangetic West Bengal and moving towards Bangladesh will move west-northwest towards Jharkhand and its nearby areas by July 20. Under its influence, rain or thundershower would occur in most places of Odisha, including the coastal belts with heavy rain at one or two places. However, very to extremely heavy rainfall would occur at some places in north and interior districts during the period,” Dr Sarat Chandra Sahu, director, Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, told the media today.
He said the rainfall would intensify further after July 20.
