If anyone has caused delay or is found guilty of committing irregularities during the Ghata Parivartan of the Lords, he will be identified and punished in accordance with the provisions of the Shri Jagannath Temple Act, 1954, said Gajapati King of Puri Maharaja Dibya Singha Dev after the Sri Mandir managing committee meeting in this holy town of Odisha on Wednesday.
“The managing committee today decided on appropriate punishment for anyone identified and found to have caused delay or guilty of committing irregularities during the Ghata Parivartan in accordance with the provisions of the Shri Mandir laws,” said Gajapati Maharaja Dibya Singha Dev.
A meeting of the Shree Jagannath temple managing committee chaired by Gajapati Maharaja Dibya Singha Dev held at the Shree Jagannath Temple office discussed the smooth and disciplined conduct of the Nabakalebara Rath Yatra.
The meeting was attended by chief administrator Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Suresh Mohapatra, Puri collector Arvind Agarwal, Puri SP Asish Singh and Shri Mandir managing committee members.
