The first phase admission in the Plus Two Arts, Science and Commserce streams for 2015-16 academic session began in Odisha this morning.
The admission which began at 10 AM will continue till 5 PM.
“Students, selected for the first phase admission on the basis of the cut-off marks announced by the Higher Education department, are bound to take admission in the college failing which they would be deprived of the admission in this year,” said Mihir Das, officer-in-Charge (OIC), e-Admission, Higher Education told the media.
Stating that the students who have passed the annual CBSE Class X examinations, are yet to receive their marksheets and certificates, Das said the considering this, the Higher Education department has decided to allow these students to download their marksheets from the CBSE website and produce them at the time of admission with an undertaking that they would submit the original marksheets within a month failing which their seat would be forfeited.
The downloaded marksheets must have the signature of the school principal.
“The students have been asked to bring their original school leaving certificate (SLC), provisional certificates, passport size photographs and the required fee during admission.
The first phase admission would conclude on July 8.
There are a total of 4,41,220 seats in 1512 Plus Two colleges in Odisha of which more than three lakh students have been selected for first phase admission.
